Once a mining site, Gurun Pasir Busung has been transformed into a photo-worthy tourist destination. Resembling a Middle Eastern desert oasis in the heart of Bintan Island, its undulating sand dunes and picturesque Blue Lake make it a unique sight.
After sand extraction was banned on Bintan Island, the area was left untouched and evolved into a charming desert landscape. Tourists and vacationing shutterbugs will find plenty of photo opportunities with swings, camel dolls, bamboo ornaments and an archery arena. Light refreshments are available from local vendors on site.

 

• Mangrove Discovery Tour

Journey through the thick mangroves of Bintan along Sebung River and explore an ecosystem teeming with wildlife and flora.
